Minimum age to drive is 21 and a valid driver’s license is required. Passengers must be able to grasp the handholds, firmly plant feet, with back fully against the seat back rest. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. All participants are required to wear a helmet with goggles (provided). Northwest Outdoor Rental Co. reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Check out time is at 9:00 am. Upon arrival legal forms will be completed, payments will be collected, and vehicles will be gone over. A short presentation will be given on safe vehicle operation. Then, protective gear (helmets and eye protection) will be provided and you will set out on your adventure!

Half day rental check-in time is 1:00pm and full/multi-day rental check-in time is 5:00pm. A $50 late fee will be charged per unit if the rental is brought back up to 1 hour late. A $100 late fee per unit if the rental is brought back up to 2 hours late and after 2 hours late, the fee will be another full day rental charge extra.  There are NO REFUNDS for early returns for any reason, including (but not limited to) weather or damaged vehicles during the rental period.

Drivers and passengers should wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts and closed-toe shoes.  In the cooler months, dressing in layers including a heavy jacket is recommended. It is a good idea to bring backpacks to stow away loose items. Sunscreen, hats and sunglasses are highly recommended. Bring extra water and snacks as you will need to keep hydrated and fueled up to make the most of your riding experience. Don’t forget the camara!

For the safety of your pet(s) and our customers we have a NO PETS policy. Pets are not allowed in rental vehicles or our staging area.

Call us immediately so we can handle the situation appropriately.  If you are out of cell phone service, use the SPOT device provided to communicate with our team. We will make a plan and provide assistance in the quickest and safest way possible.  If it is an EMERGENCY, use the provided satellite emergency beacon to alert the official emergency authorities.  Your safety is our top priority.  However, you are responsible for any costs accumulated in the retrieval of the broken-down vehicle. You are not to attempt any type of repair or recovery on your own, doing so could lead to additional damage and fees.

NOTE:
All rental vehicles are equipped with an Emergency Location Beacon. If you activate the beacon, it will alert emergency personnel to your exact location so search and rescue can come to you. The Emergency Location Beacon is ONLY for life threatening emergencies and the renter is responsible for all related emergency cost if the beacon is activated for any reason.

There is a $50 cancellation fee per vehicle if notice of cancellation is prior to 7 days before the rental date. Each vehicle canceled within 1 week prior to the rental date will be charged a fee, the price of a half-day rental.  Within 24 hours of the reservation, the cancellation fee becomes the full price of the reservation.

We do not require a security deposit per vehicle. However, a copy of the renters credit card will be kept on file in the event that damage to the vehicle occures. 

All rentals include a Damage Protection Plan.  The renter is responsible for the first $3,000 of any damage to the vehicle (including parts, labor, loss of use, abusive or reckless wear and tear).  All additional damage charges will be waived. The Accidental Damage Waiver is not insurance and covers only accidental damage to the vehicle. Careless and abusive driving is not permitted – absolutely NO donuts, jumping or excessive high speeds are allowed and strictly enforced.

Please acknowledge: If there is any damage or abuse detected at the time of vehicle return, a hold WILL be placed on the credit card used to reserve in the amount of $3000. This hold is the maximum amount the renter is responsible for in the event that the rental vehicle is severely damaged. The hold will remain in place to allow a mechanic time to inspect and report all damages. Once, the damage inspection and estimate is complete, the hold will be removed and the credit card on file will be charged the amount due to cover repairs.
